Job Title: Analytical Chemist

Job Description: 
Analytical Chemist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Implementation of bioanalytical methods for the determination of drug and metabolite concentrations in biological fluids and tissues.
  • Utilize LC-MS/MS instrumentation
  • Preparation of samples and processing of data
  • Documentation of experimental results in electronic notebooks
  • Writing report summaries and collaborating with other scientists in the bioanalytical group.    Bioanalysis work includes both preclinical GLP toxicology and clinical studies.
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Knowledge of bioanalysis using LC/MS in a regulated environment. 
  • Experience with any of following:  Waters Acuity UPLC, Sciex quadrupole MS/MS systems; Watson LIMS and Analyst software; Hamilton robotic system. 
  • Adept in variety of sample preparation techniques:  protein precipitation, liquid-liquid and solid phase extraction techniques.  
  • Ability to troubleshoot LC/MS method and instrument problems.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)

  • At least 1 year experience working as an analytical scientist in a pharmaceutical environment

  • Well-organized, great attention to detail, an avid learner, can follow SOPs, and excellent time management skills

  • Ability to handle human and animal biological samples.

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
