Job Description:
Analytical Chemist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Implementation of bioanalytical methods for the determination of drug and metabolite concentrations in biological fluids and tissues.
- Utilize LC-MS/MS instrumentation
- Preparation of samples and processing of data
- Documentation of experimental results in electronic notebooks
- Writing report summaries and collaborating with other scientists in the bioanalytical group. Bioanalysis work includes both preclinical GLP toxicology and clinical studies.
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
- Knowledge of bioanalysis using LC/MS in a regulated environment.
- Experience with any of following: Waters Acuity UPLC, Sciex quadrupole MS/MS systems; Watson LIMS and Analyst software; Hamilton robotic system.
- Adept in variety of sample preparation techniques: protein precipitation, liquid-liquid and solid phase extraction techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot LC/MS method and instrument problems.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
- At least 1 year experience working as an analytical scientist in a pharmaceutical environment
- Well-organized, great attention to detail, an avid learner, can follow SOPs, and excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle human and animal biological samples.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
