Under the direction of the surveyor, this position engages in both field and office survey support by providing coordination and assistance with the preparation of topographic, ALTA and boundary surveys, easement descriptions, terrain modeling, and GPS static control processing.
The candidate possesses and further develops a practical understanding and application of learned principles via performing basic surveys, e.g. leveling, traversing, metes and bounds surveys, construction surveys, photo control surveys, and GPS surveys.
Associate’s degree in Surveying & Mapping, Civil Engineering, or related area a plus
NCDOT or related survey experience
2-3 years CAD experience in a survey organization
Experience may be substituted for formal education
Must have exposure to land surveying including the use of data collection and processing
Experience or formal training in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation, and Microsoft Office Suite
