Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description: 
  • Responsible for Quality System maintenance
  • Develop training to build quality awareness
  • Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved data
  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions
  • Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
  • Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions
  • Manage suppliers" performance and conduct audits
  • Preparation of QA reports
  • Manage Inspection Gage Calibration System
  • Prepare and present First Article report to customer and/or FAA requirements to support production and customer demands
  • Continuously improving QA receiving, in-process, and final inspection processes and procedures
  • Development, implementation, and control of process control plans
  • Development, implementation, and control of inspection process instructions and procedures
  • Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns
  • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
  • Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving/outgoing quality functions
  • 50/50 on the floor vs in an office
Job Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of CNC machining equipment, processes, methods and techniques
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and an ability to read and interpret blueprints, routers, CAD files and work instructions
  • Ability to navigate on a PC (i.e. Microsoft Office skills)
  • Knowledge of ISO and AS quality systems
  • Knowledge of Aerospace industry quality processes (PFMEA, Control Plan, First Article)
  • Knowledge of FAA quality requirements
  • Ability to review complex aerospace documentation to assist in the derivation of process requirements
  • 6+ years of similar experience in an aerospace production machining environment is required
  • 6+ years of quality system maintenance is required
  • Experience with Epicore or Vantage.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance and U.S. citizenship status is required
