Our Client in Denver is seeking a Sheet Metal Superintendent to Join their team.
The Sheet Metal Superintendent is responsible for all sheet metal Field Managers, field manpower, and the project success.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive onsite practical and technical direction pertaining to contract scope of work
- Oversee scheduling, coordination and supervision of all onsite crew activities
- Supervise and coordinate all onsite field operations
- Adhere to project schedule and orchestrate timely project completion within budgeted costs
- Cooperate with project management and maintain open lines of communication regarding matters concerning project budget, productivity, change orders and customer satisfaction
- Practice, promote and develop mentoring at all trade and manpower levels throughout the project
- Ensure quality workforce, workmanship on mechanical system installations
- Implement all Company safety policies and timecard compliance
- Direct proper building code and Company policy and procedure compliance
- Direct and supervise CADD, Prefab, Materials and Installation
- Material, tool and equipment requisitions
- Maintain proper journeyman-to-apprentice job-site ratio
- Address any job-site conflicts to resolution
- Accurately and thoroughly project documentation/daily logs
- Review and submit weekly “3-week look ahead”
- Read and understand the Project Contract, Scope of Work and Job Specifications
- Properly track RFI’s, productivity and labor costs
- Maintain current ‘As-Built’ drawings, addendum updates, and material, fixture and equipment take-offs
- Responsible for all field hiring, discipline, and separation of job, including all supervision of field managers
- Develops a relationship with GC attending jobsite meetings and resolving any jobsite issues with the assistance of the field manager
- Cooperates with project management as jobsite sponsor with a focus on communication, budget, productivity, and client satisfaction
- Responsible for overseeing the warehouse, drivers, and fab shoP

Requirements:
|
- Previous successful supervisory experience on medium-sized mechanical contracts
- General knowledge of construction technology, methods, tools, equipment and procedures
- General understanding of construction scheduling and cost control
- Proficient people skills for management of multiple medium to large crews of construction workers
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to lift 75-100lbs
- Safety conscious
- Availability to work 40 hours a week, plus potential overtime
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening and MVR (required)
- Proficiency in speaking, reading and analyzing all project-related correspondence in English
- General proficiency of basic math, communication, organizational skills and computer applications
