The Director of Business Development will be aseasoned Consultant within the aviation industry with expertise in Environmental Engineering, Planning, and/or Compliance. Candidates must have demonstrated success with developing long-term client relationships within the aviation industry, positioning to win environmental airport projects, and leading project teams.
The Director of Business development will be delivering the following aviation services:

Airside and landside development consulting

Water and wastewater system evaluation and design
-
Stormwater modeling, master planning and asset management consulting
-
Stormwater infrastructure design
-
Deicer management system planning and design
-
Environmental compliance consulting and regulatory negotiation
-
Environmental management system development and sustainability consulting
-
Environmental planning
Responsibilities Include:
-
Identify Water and Environment growth opportunities within the aviation industry
-
Develop and maintain relationships with airport clients and potential teaming partners
-
Identify and pursue aviation environmental project opportunities
-
Develop and execute a tactical plan for pursuit positioning and market conditioning
-
Manage marketing budget
-
Actively participate in aviation trade organizations
General Project Responsibilities:

Be accountable for overall client relationships
-
Lead project pursuits including focused capture planning sessions
-
Lead contract negotiations and risk management
-
Communicate client vision, goals, and objectives to Project Team
-
Resolve client disputes
-
Confirm client satisfaction
-
Engage, develop and mentor staff
Preferred Competencies:
-
Sustainability principles
-
Environmental regulatory compliance strategies
-
LID, green, and traditional stormwater infrastructure design
-
Stormwater, water quality management, and NPDES permitting
-
Applicable FAA regulations, policies, and procedures
-
Environmental planning including air quality analyses/conformity, noise analyses, NEPA, and EIS coordination for airport sponsors
Minimum Required Qualifications:
-
B.S. or M.S. in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar degree; Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure is required for engineers

Proven business development and client management skills

Min of 20 years experience in environmental consulting

Min 10 years experience in business development with aviation clients

Team oriented

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel

Strong problem solving skills, including ability to identify key issues
