Optical Engineer
In this position, you will support programs within company with production support, troubleshooting, tool design, test development, and test equipment design including alignment and calibration. Provide support for electro-optical systems, sub-assemblies, and components for the visible and infrared. Interface with other engineering disciplines, project engineers, and program managers within the company. Direct technicians that are supporting engineers. Interface with customers on requirements, specifications, and design reviews. Work within a matrix organization to support multiple programs in a fast paced environment.
Minimum of 5 years of experience and a B.S. in Optical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent degree. M.S. degree a plus· Experience in testing, troubleshooting, and manufacturing electro-optical systems. Working knowledge of optical design tools like Zemax or Code V for analysis only. Analytical problem solving and high-level math skills. Good verbal and communication skills. Good organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines. Proficient with computer programs for word processing, spreadsheets, mathematical calculations, project management, and presentations.
Must be able to obtain a DOD security clearance.
